Advogato is known as the pioneers of Online Diaries. It is a website for free software developers. Advogato was created by Ralph Levien. It is also known as the Original Diary Collective and a Web Log style community forum and news site for free software developers. Advogato was an early pioneer of "Online Diaries" which later was known as Blogs.
Another important part of Advogato that is not immediately noticeable to newcomers is the use of diary entries not just for personal monologue but also for dialogue. Many people have begun using their own diaries to respond to FrontPage articles and to other users' diary entries.
