Bolt.com is a Social Networking Website which started as a teen community in 1996. Bolt social commuity was launched by Dan Pelson and Jane Mount and got closed on 2007 due to some copyright violation act. Bolt.com started becoming commercial in 2002 as it started creating sponsored badges for rewnowed companies like sony and many other. The original Bolt was launched on march 6, 2006 and was renamed as Bolt2. It was created for kids and younger teens to make friends and play games, they were even provided with option of writing contents too. Bolt.com was also created was also made for self discovery and Pop Culture.
The members of Bolt Social Network Community are mostly college students between 18-24. These members tended to be more interested in current events, hot news issues, religion and politics, and kept the message boards active with lively heated debate. Many members had known each other for several years and have formed close bonds with their fellows. The site features includes a daily horoscope, chat rooms, message boards, tagbooks, faceoffs and photo albums.
